Proposals
The Eco Park at Charlton Lane will provide a sustainable way to manage waste created in the north of the county. It will comprise:
- A batch oxidation system gasification facility, to process 60,000 tonnes of household waste per year.
- An anaerobic digestion facility to process 40,000 tonnes of food waste per year.
- A recyclables bulking facility.
- Improvements to the existing community recycling centre.
- An education and visitor centre.
