Witley community recycling centre

The new Witley Community Recycling Centre (CRC) has officially opened to the public.

The site opened its gates for use on 15 May 2012, following a seven month development.

The CRC, in the south west of the county, was redeveloped and extended to provide a modern, accessible and easy to use facility. The redevelopment programme to improve the site included:

• Better parking and road layout to help site users to move around more easily and to reduce queuing.
• A split level site to remove the need for steps.
• A separate entrance and exit to help reduce congestion.

Residents now enter the improved site via a new entrance on Rake Lane, rather than the existing entrance from Petworth Road.
