Lyne Lane community recycling centre
Lyne Lane community recycling centre in Chertsey was reopened to the public in July 2008 following a six-month redevelopment. The modernised recycling centre includes several new features and most of the demolition material from the old site was reused to create the foundations for the new site.
The site features:
- Split-level container bays to accommodate large containers for recyclable materials, removing the need for steps.
- A one way ‘in and out’ traffic flow within the site solely for community recycling centre users.
- A dedicated entry and exit for site service vehicles – therefore the site does not shut temporarily for container changes.
- More parking, enabling more people to use the facilities at any one time.
